Brent T. Boeddeker

Brent Boeddeker focuses his practice on Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration, and Real Estate. He joined Ohnstad Twichell in 2017 and was named shareholder in 2023.

Brent has years of experience working with clients in agriculture, assisting them with managing, gifting, and selling farmland in the region.

David C. Piper

David’s practice focuses on real estate, including run-of-the-mill real estate transactions, complex 1031 Exchanges, and real estate litigation. David has assisted numerous clients over the years with selling the family farm when the family no longer farms and no longer wishes to act as a landlord.

David has represented numerous landowners in partition actions, which is a type of lawsuit used to either divide or sell real estate that is owned by multiple parties who each own an undivided fractional interest in real estate and cannot agree on how to utilize the land.

David’s family farm has been in his family since 1904 and he understands the importance of ensuring the land goes to a worthy owner when an owner makes the difficult decision to finally sell the land.

Del Losing

Del Losing is an attorney licensed in both North Dakota and Minnesota. Del has focused much of his practice on agricultural real estate and estate planning.

He has conducted numerous land sales in the upper Midwest and enjoys working with families to help accomplish their goals.

J.R. Strom

J.R. Strom, an attorney with Ohnstad Twichell, P.C. since September of 2016, and based out of our Hillsboro office, has developed extensive experience in real estate transactions, including farmland, commercial, and residential.

With significant experience working with independent financing agencies as well as federal and state lenders, J.R. has proven himself more than capable of handling everything from simple home purchases / sales to multi-million dollar land transfers, as well as having a great deal of experience with 1031 exchanges.

He currently serves as director and treasurer of the Hillsboro Economic Development Corporation, chairman of the Lodging Tax Committee, as the Hillsboro City Attorney, and is an active past president of the Hillsboro Business Association. Having grown up in rural Steele, North Dakota, raising beef cattle, J.R. currently lives on a farmstead outside of Hillsboro with his two German shepherds, Nala and Zoey, and has a unique understanding of the needs of rural communities regarding various real estate transactions. J.R. is licensed in both North Dakota and Minnesota.

Morgan A. Nyquist

Morgan has worked within the real estate industry since 2016. Prior to joining Ohnstad Twichell, Morgan assisted sellers and buyers as a Realtor in residential and land transactions.

In his current position with Ohnstad Twichell, Morgan assists clients in many matters related to real estate and property acquisition including land auctions, bidding procedures, selling, buying, and title work.

Agriculture is also a large part of Morgan’s professional background. When not assisting clients, Morgan enjoys working on his own farm.
